About Locked Horns Designs
Back in the mid-1800`s in Wyoming, fine
wood was scarce and tools were crude.
Cowboys made furniture out of necessity
and the furniture was designed to function.
They
were also building a tradition and style
that would capture the eye of future western
romantics, and a century later, be desired
by furniture lovers worldwide.
When I moved to Wyoming in 1992, the different
furnishings created by “cowboy craftsmen”
fascinated me. Living there taught me that
the beauty of modern-day lodgepole furniture
is truly remarkable and unique. I began
working with local craftsmen specializing
in custom handcrafted furniture. This sparked
my creativity and gave me a different perspective
on what furniture could be. When I bought
my first home in Idaho, I began building
my own furniture out of necessity and over
time developed my own style of lodgepole
furniture and antler lighting.
Much of my work has a western flare, but
one of the things I truly love about my craft is
having the opportunity to work with my customers to design
special pieces that fit their individual taste and
needs, creating unique hierloom-quality furniture that
will, without a doubt, enhance the quality and atmosphere
of their home, lodge or camp. Read more about Locked Horns Designs
